Here’s a pic of me being beamed up in today's radiation treatment session.
The green beam shown here is lining me up at the beginning of the session. Tan-time is approx 20mins. Preparation and unwinding either side of this make each appointment about an hour, roughly.
Can I feel it? Not at the time of the session, and not so far. Each day builds on the previous day's work. It's like lying down at the beach each day for lunchtime, no sunblock, and going back the next day. The burn adds up over time.
I go into Wellington Hospital's radiation centre daily on Mondays-Fridays, until mid-September. Then a recovery period for a few weeks. I've posted a copy of my radiation roster on the site, for those that may be interested.
