It’s nice to finish a tricky year on a high. Today I’m seeing in the new year in Taranaki with Maree and family. Following an afternoon of watching the kids scoot down a slip & slide sudfest down the grassy bank out back, we will be taking in the Christmas Light Festival at the town gardens, then returning home to seeing in the New Year.
Actually, rather than seeing it in, I’m more likely to snooze it in, due to an early mission this morning in search of Christmas snow, on the top of Mt Taranaki. A fitting finale to a tricky year, and finishing in pretty good shape, thanks to the hard work and support of a lot of doctors, nurses and family and friends.
It is not easy to find a White Christmas in New Zealand, but if the stars align, it can be done…
Thanks David - Happy New Year! Hope you are getting some good family time in - and perhaps getting out for a run or two!
Happy New Year Nick -incredible achievement getting to the top of Mt Taranaki, and I suppose you ran it!! All the best for a better 2023.
