Hall of humility
One of my favourite hospital places
At hospital today for some more checkups.
Having seen a fair few hospitals and wards, I know a good operation when I see one - in and out of theatre.
Outside of theatre, patients and families need places to wait. Fortunately, if you know your hospitals, and spend time to look around them, there are often a few well-designed spots.
I’m at one of my favourite spots today, in the long hallway outside one of the theatres and radiology rooms at Kenepuru Hospital. Large framed photographic portraits adorn this otherwise clinical corridor, featuring people from the Porirua and “Eastside” community where the hospital is located.
It’s not a hall of fame; it’s a hall of humility. Here’s some pics of it below.
