Homeward bound

I woke up this morning to see a soft glow lit Hutt valley, all the way across the harbour to Mt Vic.  Prophetic!  Gary (my registrar) came in soon after to confirm I’d be discharged tomorrow.

I’ll be shifted from isolation tonight to a 4-bed ward with other patients – like checking into a dorm! I’ll miss my rather luxurious room-with-a-view (pictured right).

I’ve been very happy and well looked after here at the hospital, but a discharge is good news.  Going home is a good milestone on the road to recovery…
